MY ANCIENT & MEDIEVAL COINS AS OF FALL, 2025 This is the category of my collection for all Ancient and Medieval Coins, and includes pretty much everything that dates up to the year 1600 AD. One exception to this is the subcollection of the Roman Twelve Caesars, which will have their own thread. Coins below are displayed in… -

Re: They Are Still Out There,Silver Nickels That Is.
Extremely heavy pre-1963 circulation wear War nicks are kindda funny. Every other circulating coin that I've looked at closely will lay out on a nice bell curve when plotted for wear. Most are in or near a grade and the number higher tapers off to nothing as do the number lower. Some times this curve is very tight as with… -
Re: My first submission, and a question.
<< <i>Thanks for the info. One more question. If I submitted that card with the "no qualifier" instructions, would they have graded it a 7 or a 6, or not at all? Yeah, I'll get some scans up sometime early next week for sure. >> It depends on where the centering falls, it didn't fall inline with PSA 8 centering, so you'd… -
pcgsregistrycollector's PNNA Coin Show (October 3-5) Review/Reflection

I attended the PNNA (Pacific Northwest Numismatic Association) Fall Coin Show on Saturday, October 4th, and spent around three hours there. The show ran from October 3–5, but Saturday was the only day I could make it — and I’m so glad I went. I woke up at 6:30 a.m. to drive down from Seattle, and the traffic through… -
Re: Something I'm thankful for on the best coin forum ever: Please bring back the really good ones!!
I love a good old thread. Revisits a topic, and brings to life dead and banned members. Admit to finding interesting forum members and doing a deep dive on their specialty perusing a history of posts. I find nuggets of information the antiquated search engine cannot. Most people ignore me by design or habit, so my advice… -
Here is what I did with the money from my Canseco Supercollection

(A video is at the bottom of this article, if you would rather see it.) What a difference a year can make. Exactly a year ago, I sat at this very desk, typing up a story telling the world I was calling it quits on supercollecting Canseco. It was emotional for me, but the response & support were overwhelmingly positive.… -
Re: Where is Greg Reynolds?
PRC: Greg where are you, we miss your articles !! OldIndian: Most all of us us on this forum appreciate "Analyst's" viewpoint on this forum. Greg Reynolds has great historical perspective of our obsession, and on which we rely for perspective. RogerB: His articles are usually useful and informative. Too bad they are MIA.… -
Re: Question for you folks Down Under
<< <i>Brissy appears to be a one-post wonder when it comes to Collectors Universe. >> Sorry guys, I lost the link to this forum. Just rediscovered it. If you have any questions about 1981 Australian decimal coins struck at the Royal Australian Mint (Canberra), Royal Mint (Llanstriant), Royal Canadian Mint (Winnipeg) or… -
Re: The 1992/94 UD Mantle/Griffey Jr AUTO'd cards...
I'm just going to say this and drop it. When you come on and post the following: "1. The Mantle Griffey came as 3 different versions. 1 version signed by Mantle, 1 version signed by Griffey, and 1 version signed by both Mantle and Griffey. There is not an unsigned version of this card. 2. These were inserts into 1994 Upper…
