Re: Best rookie cards of Derek Jeter in rank order--Please help
There are 8 Derek Jeter rookie cards in 1993 that are major league cards. If you go here you will see the PSA Jeter rookie set that is in the PSA registry. Personally from experience the weight isn't how the cards are considered most valued or desired. Top 3 would be these. 1) 1993 SP DEREK JETER FOIL 2) 1993 STADIUM CLUB… -
Re: Guess the grade: 1974 OPC Seaver (Update: Front and Back Scans added)
<< <i>In theory, 9OC should not automatically be equivalent to an unqualified 7. It should be possible that a card is a structural 9, and has the centering required for an 8. That should still make it an unqualified 8, and a 9OC with qualifier. That said, PSA almost always gives a grade of 7 when no qualifiers are… -
Re: I think I'm done with high grade PSA vintage cards...

Sorry Mike, I can't agree with you. I would any day rather own a perfectly centered PSA 8 Mantle than a PSA 10 Mantle which is diamond cut (as I see in a current auction) or a PSA 9 centered 60/40. Why waste the money?? I buy the card, not the holder. Unless, you are concerned about weight in the set registry. Then you… -
Re: I can not understand the reason for putting 2005 SMS coins in general circulation sets.
Thanks Mitch. I think a lot of the confusion comes from the labeling from different grading services. NGC is using the term SMS on their slabs. What frustrates me the most, is pcgs will not let us enter both types of strikes into the registry, and if you ask them about it in the Q & A forum, you just get ignored (at least… -
Re: 1960 leaf brooks robinson
David, I hadn't even thought about that. I bet there were more people after it because it was brooks than to fill the set. the only other card I am not looking forward to is orlando cepeda, I really want to find that card in an 8. 707 has the orlando psa8 for $200, after this brooks card I am thinking thats not such a bad… -
A suggestion regarding registry awards
All of the "set" awards are given to the participant who has the #1 ranking for 1 day - the "award deadline". I suggest that it would be more accurate to give the award to whoever had the #1 spot/set for the greatest number of days in the preceding year. In my opinion it would be a much more accurate reflection of the… -

Minnesota "Bullion Coin Dealer" Law
There have been a few threads on this topic since the law was passed in MN last year. Full implementation begins July 1, 2014. The MN Department of Commerce has been tasked for implementing the law, and has a webpage devoted to it. Here is a summary they provide as a "Final Checkilst" Link The law defines a "Bullion Coin"… -
Re: Check out my sig photo. Fishing Lure! 1920-D

Nice picture Tony. Eight dimes are at PCGS right now. Hopefully some will be worthy for the registry set. All of the dates are from the twenties and five were raw with the other three going for crossovers. One of the raw coins is a very nice coin in my opinion and either this will be confirmed or it will show that I really…
