Re: Paypal Question re: Linking to Bank Account
<< <i>I opened a seperate checking account at a different bank than my regular bank to link my paypal with. Every so often I transfer my paypal balance to the checking and withdrawl the funds a few days later. There is never any link to my regular checking at my regular bank. I just feel its safer that way. Bob >> I do the… -
Re: The old eBay buyer problem again
I'm not sure about the downside with eBay. But your own downside would be your being a Nice Guy, this character being a scammer, and his counting on his being able to keep tugging at your heartstrings and beating you. That tale about the friend dying and the needed airline ticket for the funeral . . . reminds me of a… -
Re: Should Trueview service be free and automatic for the greater good?
<< <i> << <i>At the risk of repeating myself AGAIN, I'll point out that you're ignoring the millions of coins already in slabs. Should we just avoid any coins slabbed before June 1, 2009 when the new program starts? If all these coins went down in value by 10% how many billions of $ would that be? --Jerry >> I'm not so… -
Re: Need some help!
Ya, there's nothing you can do but sit back and except the deal probably won't happen. I'm not sure if the transaction gets voided er what??? Essentialy, the deals off. I had a seller go NARU about 20 mins after I sent payment. I got an email from ebay telling me not to pay, that they were scammers. I wasn't to worried… -
Re: Seller who only accepts Money Orders and Cashier Checks
<<< I'm just worried if things don't turn out right I have no recourse or do I? >>> "if things don't turn out right"...The only recourse you would have is small claims court...and then "good luck" because if he's a scammer he'll probably be living in another apartment in another state somewhere by the time there is any… -
Re: Has anyone read the personal statements of the ANA Governor candidates in the Numismatist? I'm narro
Hi, I have only one issue that I am concerned about and my votes will be based upon the responses I receive based upon my concern. I want to know how each candidate feels about the Ebay connection with the ANA, how they plan to help make it a safer environment for buyers and whether or not they will step up and use the… -
Re: If a friend of yours wanted you to buy some rare coins for him because he thought he could make some
No way. I do all the work for no compensation? I call that being taken advantage of - my "friends" don't do that. On the other hand, if he chooses the coins he wants and needs help procuring them, I would help him locate and purchase them. He would do most of the work. I would also give him a few pointers on how to avoid… -
Re: Legit new seller or scam?
<< <i>AUCTIONS 0 feedback, but he has scans of slabbed legit cards, and he takes paypal and requires insurance and good packaging. Seems legit right? Just making sure that I am not missing a red flag here...... >> It is a little weird that a guy would have a zero feedback rating after being an Ebay member for 5 years, but… -
Re: history in the making 75 topps case break in the works CASE SOLD OUT!!!
<< <i>Ahh found the thread where everyone and their sister came to the thief's (i.e. 80sjunkie/toppscollector) defense. Good work, tools. >> So what's the point? A clever con artist scammed a lot of people here. You called him out - good for you. I've seen many of the posters on this thread successfully call out a number… -
Re: 1947 Tribute Edition Red Book
To answer a couple questions I've heard frequently this week: Which version of the 1st edition does it recreate? First printing, or second printing? The 1947 Tribute Edition Red Book is a commemorative reissue of the first edition, first printing. What will stop scammers from selling the Tribute Edition as an original? In…
