Re: New 2009 Lincoln Cent Designs Revealed this morning!

So... Outhouse, Lumberjack, Tourguide, or Under Construction... When I think of Lincoln, the first thing that comes to mind is the stove pipe hat. The second is the portrait that to me gave a striking and serious demeanor image of that man. I just don't see how any of these have captured his essence. On a side note, I just… -
Re: have shipping costs gone cuckoo, or did I just notice?
As a high volume seller, I can tell you that the fees and costs from Ebay/Paypal are the biggest reason I raised my rates. Before I would only use Delivery Confirmation for high dollar shipments, however being burned a few times by scammers playing the "I didn't receive it" game with Paypal forced me to use it for all… -
Re: Are pics of the coin in the slab necessary on Ebay?
Not necessary, but more pictures are always better than less pictures. Personally, I like seeing the whole slab. There are a lot of scammers who will sell a coin as "NGC MS66" or somesuch, and then you get an unslabbed coin, and the seller says crap like "it used to be in an NGC slab, but I cracked it out" or "it *would*… -
Re: 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle ebay # 5142334251
Thank you so much your guide is great by the way as far as my bid with daytrader on the 52 mantle I got the royal runaround then he ignored me another Ebay scammer I applaud you for your work in this field as I deal almost exclusively in autographs I need this card for a good client of mine if you ever need a testimonial… -
Re: hiding pcgs ser # ?
There are two possibilities I can think of: 1. The seller has several of the item and only want to take one photo. On things like PR69 moderns this probably makes sense since you couldn't tell the difference from the photo anyway in most cases. 2. The "seller" is a scammer who has lifted the photo from someone else's… -
Re: Tradelist
Just a reminder to everyone that bradley25 still has 5 trades where he has not completed his end and has people watching him as a scammer. When biggjc posted to ask about where his card was, bradley25's posted response was simply "Yawn." He has already created 2 new screen names to avoid people trying to get him for mail… -

it's a long read but if you or anyone else wants to see what this card doctor has been doing to these cards then check out this thread https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1290614 The investigators are posting before and after pics along with sales records for each card and a dollar amount gained thru each… -
Re: Coin Selling Scam Artist Receives 21 Years Prison Sentence.
It is amazing how long these scammers operate before the law catches up with them. In college quality critical thinking is advanced and prized. In business and social circles positive and sometimes "magical" thinking are in vogue. No one wants to be the grinch, the bearer of bad news saying that the "king has no clothes".… -
Re: Tom Brady RC
It went poof... Was probably the scammer and one of his bogus cards. This is the main reason I’m only buying high dollar cards from eBay sellers with a long history. I use to buy from anyone but try explaining to eBay that a graded card that looks 100% legitimate is fake and you want your money back. Big risk! Edit: I… -
Re: eBay dilemma - 0 feedback
I never did, either, but one time was too many for me. Who's to say a scammer won't claim the box was empty and file a claim for SNAD through ebay, either? The vast majority of collectors are honest individuals, but unfortunately there are a few that aren't and many of these characters create new user IDs to run a new…
