Re: Gfg
Like the diff color serials we have seen pop up over the years. Altered by bleach, etc by scammers to scam people. Understand how notes are printed at the BEP. It is one thing for a sticker to make its way in during the process, like we saw in the banana note. It is another thing to have something else like a symbol… -
Re: Surprising Ebay experience
Sorry to hear about this. NOTHING nowadays preturbs me more than scammers, thieves, hackers, and phishers. And most all are internet based. -Contact the Postal Inspector and explain to them that you have evidence of packing and sealing the coins securely. -Call ebay everyday and present them with your case/evidence and try… -
Re: Interesting email I got from Centsles re: Ebay coin policy

What I find amusing is how he infers conflict of interest by others yet he purveys his own overgraded self-slabbed NNC crap. Gimme a break. This is just one more "that's not fair" schoolyard whine from one of many power scammers that are going to (hopefully) see a reduction in their bottom line thanks to ebay finally… -
Re: *One for the BBL* *Kevin Burge Update*
He is just fishing for partial refunds to screw over sellers. The likelihood is he will end up keeping the card since you called his bluff. They usually do. Just be polite towards him, otherwises if you set this scammer off he will send the card back and will intentionally damage it. Keep us posted if he actually sends the… -
Re: Can this really be a PSA 9?
<< <i>Every case looks really frosty and he has a 61 Yaz and 71 Rose that you can see what appears to be pry marks and a crack or two. >> I've gotten stuff directly from Newport Beach that looks just like that. They look frosty in the scan, but the tamper-evident areas of the slab still look good. All the cards have… -
Re: If I sell a very expensive coin on ebay ..........
<< <i>if you remove the money from your paypal account right away- then does a charge back still work? >> Not if you close the paypal account before the chargeback. The only recourse the buyer has is to come after you legally. If you delivered what he paid for then you've got no worry. If he's a scammer he won't be coming… -
Re: Look At This Negative Feedback Left
The problem is there are just as many if not more scamming buyers out there. The problem is all we ever hear about are the scamming sellers because most legit sellers accept the fact that they are going to lose some money to scammers and do not whine and cry about it like buyers do. They just move on. Taking the feedback… -
Re: Just had an ebay customer request shipping
Yes, once every month or two. usually it is innocent. Remember, innocent buyers don't think asking for alternate shipping is a mortal sin. But some are scammers and it's up to you to tell the difference. I once shipped a gold coin to a hotel to meet the purchaser at a distant wedding for a last minute wedding gift. I… -
Re: what is the best card that was ever stolen from you?
55T ted williams and 53T yogi berra stolen from on my desk at work. Caught the guy trying to sell them, possession is 9/10 of the law and I had to buy them to get them back. Paid $200 to get them back. The berra is a psa 5, never sent the williams but it's about the same shape. The thief was later killed in a drive-by… -
Re: PayPal Dispute Help
Well, if anyone cares, PayPal found in my favor. Shockingly, they said they recovered my $105 from the seller...err...scammer's account. While the PayPal page says they reversed the charge on my credit card, I haven't seen it on my credit card site, yet. Things are looking good. I think I'll put the $105 in my "All-Star…
