It's only on the 1907 in the OP with reeding mark on the cheek. That coin was dipped before being slabbed and fully white. The brown on the obverse & reverse rims in not toning but dip residue from not having been neutralized properly which is turning. There's mild trace brown spotting on the cheek too all which will… -

So I finally got a chance to look at the PR67DC and PR68DC tonight. milky spots. that explains it. This certainly is why I think the best way to submit First Strikes would be to take them to a show, sit down at the PCGS table, get the guy to "certify" the mint box is first strike eligible, open it up & then carefully look… -

Fake Memorabilia you've been burned on and what to do with them.
I bought a Bulls floor piece with fake COA in 2010 after the arena tear down. Should have spotted this a mile away but I already had seats and a floor piece from the 80s remodel and let my guard down. NCS was used one time for a classic coin that had ugly tone IMO. When the coin came back it was a unnatural bright white color. Also, IMO, the coin was uglier than when it was sent in. Never again. Once you have seen one you can spot it from a mile away. I agree that they are completely wrecking some other wise nice coins.… -

That look comes from a coin that was, at one time, somewhat heavily toned. The dark toning was reversed by dipping, but some stubborn spots remained. Fortunately, the coin still has an overall decent appearance (market acceptable) except for some small area(s) of toothpicking. Many other coins like that were frequently… -

Went to the local coin shop /silver dealer again today and common 1 ounce rounds and bars are $ 4 over spot ($ 17 each) It can't be had any cheaper anywhere in this region (within a couple hundred miles) so It was a buy . Lower grade Morgans and Peace were $ 16.50 each, and I heard him say he had a major dealer buying them…
