I say dont compromise at all. There are a lot of scammer out there. I was just looking at a first time seller with a Gretzky OPC PSA 9 rookie that only accepts money orders. Before it closes, I will email Ebay "notifications". -

Jim, he says he will send the card before he gets the payment. Say you will buy it and check out the tracking number and see what will really happens. Make that scammer go through the trouble of shipping something off. -

I do! ACG wasn't mentioned as one of the grading companies! I'll pass... Seriously, each coin has an average value/price of $3,000? So, no reserve and one of those bidders might get it for $159? Scammer or nutcase, IMHO... -

here is the sellers response , as I stated in another thread, I think ebay is now catering to scammers with new 1 day auctions , Do not bid on this - someone is using my id fraudulently. Please do not bid!! Thanks, Jill -

used to do bay-layaways for folks who needed time to pay and it was never a problem.......several years ago. with the current payment system in place and myriad fears of scammers and unpredictable situations, i'd demand every penny of the sale or no deal. -

It does say "stock photo" in the listing. Zero feedback seller could either be a scammer or just hasn't figured it out. I don't know what this card might be worth, but I rarely bid on anything with a stock photo. Joe -

There are too many scammers out there to provide your SSN via telephone. I would ask that they send me a W-9 via USPS to my address on file, just like every other legitimate financial institution does. -

Postal money orders are fool-proof though, since you have the cash in hand there is nothing a scammer can do through the USPS to take your cash back, right?? (no letters of demand from USPS to pay up, etc..?) -

OK, Because words are subject to interpretation and smooth deception. Scammers can say one thing and make it sound like another. When it shows up you're in an arguement over interpretation of the words. A photo of a slab doesn't decieve. --Jerry
