Re: Would you spend more money in hard close auctions if there was a "proxy" feature?
> 3. As I said, disappointing that this was a suggestion to create a tool for dealers only. Your questions are all made on the basis that it my suggestion to "create a tool for dealers only". If you read my essays above, I've been trying to explain that that is FALSE . The original "suggestion" was to just enable proxy… -
Re: Current market conditions- How are things looking from where you are seated?
> > And to add to this: I’m not sure about a coin bull market but I’m old enough to have lived through bull markets, in other areas of the economy, when they turn bearish. Sustained bull markets often draw in a lot of “new,” inexperienced people that wants to participate in making “quick cash,” and will often over leverage… -
2023 Topps Disney Chrome 100 - Card identification Help
I collect Disney cards and pulled a Iconic Moments IM-9 Falling With Style (Woody and Buzz Lightyear). It is a reverse hologram and is marked 10/10 in gold print. I cannot find any info about the 10/10 and if it is a series of the same or different cards or its rarity. Has anybody have any info this series? -
Today GB calls for Gold to FALL when europe begins to default..
OK he said 15-20 days ago Gold/Silver can only go up from here and it did for 2 days and then tanked fantasticallly. So this time he says it will fall when the european countries begin to default. So being so wrong last time I'm going to try the idea of reverse investment methodology. If he says up up and away, I either… -
Re: The Official World Cup Thread
<< <i>Man, I thought Argentina for sure had that game. I guess they did too because they kinda fell apart in the final 15 minutes. >> Scripted like a Greek tragedy, Pekerman did the right thing by falling on his sword......his choices on substitutions vs. Germany doomed the Argentinians early on. I kinda see the same death… -
Re: "The losses were more on the buy side than the sale side"--what does this mean?
Buy side or sale side is a hard thing to quantify. One could have bought many decent coins in the 1995-2007 period that would have been considered "good" buys at the time and been within 0-10% of current wholesale levels. In 2009, many of those "good" buys have suffered hits to reverse gradeflation, changing tastes, or… -
Re: Strange Place for a mintmark?

Re: It's time to move on
Well, the Mighty Red Sox didn't let the Rangers win another one. It was like the minor leagues vx. the major leagues, the JV vs. the Varsity, Silver vs. Gold, a seal vs. A Great White Shark, etc, etc, etc. Next up is a weekend series against the Angels. The Angels could be in sole possession of first after Sunday. The sky… -

Re: These dollar coins are going to fail....again!
<< <i>I opened a roll, no errors ofcourse, I figure I need to spend them. I'm going to the post office, I take 5 coins. They are in my pocket and while in the car they almost fall out. At the post office the cost was $3.77. I give them 4 coins and get back 2 dimes and 3 pennies (5 coins), which almost fall out of my pocket…
