Re: My Morgan Collection Part 13 (1891-S - 1892-S)
I filled the Dansco albums except I couldn't bring myself to break out the 81CC and 85CC since I had those in GSA slabs. All other holes filled. Included the 78 P varieties, 8TF, 7/8, Rev 78 & 79 as well as the 82 O/S, 1900 O/CC and 91-O "E". About half I bot raw and the other half broke out of their slabs, none higher… -
Re: Opinion on PSA 8 Seaver Rookie
If cards are resubmitted in these "older" style holders and PSA determines that the card (using this one as an example) should now be a lesser grade, perhaps a psa 7. What does PSA do? I know they have a buy back policy. However, many people have stated that the older holders sell at a slight discount. Does PSA have a… -
Re: OK - back to coins - What's the rearest coin you've ever held in your hand?
I was at the local 7-11 talking with the owner, mentioned that I was collecting coins and he says he has a old US Coin the size of a silver dollar but really wasn't sure what it was. Naturally I offer to look at it for him and figure out what it was. The next time in, he has it with him. An 1803 Draped Bust Dollar in fine… -
Re: another good reason sellers wait on BUYERS to leave feedback..
I had a guy buy a raw card for next to nothing as compared to the value and the guy tells me he thinks it has been trimmed (I am 99.99% sure it's NOT), but he claims it is 1/32" short....I told the guy to send it back (really don't care since it didn't bring as much as I had hoped for), but told him in the future he might… -
Re: What did you get with your eBay Bucks?
I finally was eligible for eBay bucks this past quarter and accumulated a little over $28. I used it to get something that I wouldn't have normally because it was a little overpriced for a raw card. But, it's going to get graded and hopefully prove to be a 7 or better. I don't have the card yet but here's the jpg from the… -
Re: 1959 psa Jim Ringo 8
<< <i> << <i>Looks like that one has a tough pop report. I have a raw one I'm waiting on a special to submit (it's not an 8 though). In case you don't have access... Pop Report shows 23-8's and 3-9's. Good Luck! -Josh >> that low huh ohhh boy >> Compared to many of the other 59's, thats about half the normal number. Most… -
Re: Mail Call
Perry Wasn't the Duke a great surfer also? Nice card! Mac Super 7 on the Ernie card! knucks The auto stays intact - I have his ball and about 5 other auto items to include a Dvorak litho. Ahman You picked up some really nice raw 56Ts - the Minoso is great! He was the only player to have at bats in 5 different decades - he… -
Re: 1818 half eagle. Real or not? vote in the poll
Don't know too much about early gold. Having said that, it looks off. The date looks tampered with. The coin looks like a weaker strike in some key areas like the bust/neck area that leads me to belive that the coin is not real. If it is, then it has been cleaned/altered severly. The pcgs pop on that coin is: 55 58 60 61… -
Re: Beckett to SMR and Vice Versa
according to BECKETT (and not real world prices on ebay), in baseball, from 1977 to present the prices reflect NRMT-MT values (which would be a psa 8). from 61 to 77 it is NRMT (a 7), and from 48 to 58 it is EXMT (a 6). if going by THEIR scale, a psa 8 card from 61-77 can go for up to 200% more than the price in the guide,… -
Re: So I bought a 1980 set on Ebay. Can you guess whether I was happy or not?
Hey, I'm not rooting against the OP - I hope they're all 9's and 10's, but I know better from ebay experience...and I've never seen a dinged card that received a 7, ever. Frankly, the dinged Henderson clearly tells me the set was played with and when a set is "played with" even a little bit, well then it's no longer a Mint…
