Re: BajjerFan account was hacked?
Most of the time I think it's just the boomers and older who get scammed, but good reminder that sometimes it's not about age or lack of tech-savvy. Sucks for the few of you who took it on the chin -- hopefully, your loss is everyone's lesson at least. Just yet again a reminder: if something looks like a duck, swims like a… -
Re: What I actually got for gold and silver
sure that sounds terrible but it illustrates a problem that I focus on with granularity . I think 1 oz gold coins are terrible to own when gold is over $1000 an ounce . When you go into the store needing money the buyer is able to leverage you based on your need for money and your inability to divide that coin into chunks.… -
Re: Indian head cent purchase
@MtW124 Dont be sorry at all. I was focused on the lousy images I put up figuring the coin looked good to me. When you posted that image it hit me that my odds increased 10 fold that I am wasting my time with this thing. You did me a favor. I see dealers who do this for a living get shot down by guys like JA who think they… -
Re: The bid board
That’s when the room really went quiet. The guy with the rumpled brown paper sack wasn’t just some lucky eccentric—he was, you later learned, the treasurer of the Covina Coin Club. The mustard-stained shirt and dandruff weren’t a disguise exactly, just a side effect of someone who cared more about history than appearances.… -
Re: 5X eBay Bucks - Check your email or messages
<< <i> << <i>Once again I am not included in this promotion. I just called Ebay and asked why some people are included every time there is a promotion and some are never included. Just like the last time I asked, no one seems to know why or how Ebay users are picked for the promotions. I did speak to someone that actually… -
Re: I'm a YN and i need help
You could get $100 worth of the new quarters (parks) or presidential dollars. Sort them. Then sell the nice ones on Ebay. I suggest quarters, not dollars because you'll have 4x the chance of finding an MS67. (better than that actually as the QA on dollars sucks). You'll need to go around to banks and see who will buy you… -
Re: My small Hobby contribution; Today - a conversation on Breakers and Influencers
My issue with breakers... there seems to be some collusion with the card manufacturers (cough fanatics cough)... either getting prime access to newly released product or loaded boxes. Sucks when you can actually afford a hobby box or case but they only release a small amount as the majority is funneled to these breakers...… -
I'm SICK of two things.... What Are You Sick Of?
1) sellers raving over their 1970S proof lincolns with the commonplace ringed target rainbow color. This date/mm is commonly target rainbow toned because of some unique packaging factor that year. 2) Ho Hum double mint sets, especially ones with obvious switched out coins, being raved over by sellers What would you say… -
Re: Well, there goes the value of MS 1889-CC Morgan Silver Dollars
Huh ? You must also be unaware of the “you suck” award. Condemn ? You meant commend, I presume because I don’t want to assume you two are ignorant of some slangs long used to commend another, right here on these boards. Do a search for “You Suck”. Rather, I did that for you folks sitting in the judgement chair. What’s the… -
Re: Opened my original unopened 52 Proof set and all I got was a ...

<< <i>A dealer in the shop yesterday offered the '50, '52, and '53 proof sets in the boxes at grey sheet. I said to him, "well there won't be a superbird, so I'll pass". This is the second you suck in one day for you. >> There are many of the Superbirds out there and really unless there cameo or dcams its not a you suck…
