They offer a spot removal service where you submit it and they will remove the spot and reholder it free of charge. Except of course the return postage cost. This is what I was told when I talked to someone in customer service about a spot on a Modern Commemorative Dollar. Not sure if this works for the milik spots. -
Re: 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar Sets
The mess on the half dollar Oakstar pointed out is milk spots. They were struck into the coin when it was minted. They cannot be removed. It also appears that some of the proof half dollars may be the more valuable Accented Hair variety. You can obtain information about 1964 proof coins by looking them up on Coinfacts. -
