Re: what's the odds of this being legit.....
Collation for 1983 is different from cellos in the 1970s. For the same reason, any card can fall on front or back of a 1980 cello pack (depending on the wrap). If you check the other side of those Sandberg cellos, you should see cards from opposing sheets which would negate the same card on front and back. -
Re: x
That first-post article reads like a bit of bank propaganda to me. Banks always want to push the use of banknotes over other types of money. I've heard it stated many times that "nobody wanted silver dollars" . That is absolutely false. Of course people wanted them - they were money. The problem wasn't the size - it was… -

Why do they have to be different? There are a lot of similarities. They are both "money", they both represent political portrayals of history. They are both predominantly collected by old guys. I don't think it's binary. If coin collecting continues, as stamp collecting continues, but with a reduced collector base then you… -
Re: Lack of appreciation for SGC by Mastro
Hey Murcer, I'm with you on this one! Why don't you e-mail them and see what they have to say... it would be interesting to see if they back pedal, or try to explain it away with the one grading company theory... especially since (as you mention) he graded the others too. Maybe throw the legal phrase "false advertising" in… -
Results are in on the TDI SL: Two Days - 17 silvers, 14 buffalo nickels, and a gold ring!

Had the inaugural run of the TDI SL yesterday. Took about 15 minutes at the beach trying to figure out Ground Balance, and a few other settings. My initial tests gave me some doubts about its depth. But figured I was there and wanted to see what this thing could do. A big thanks to my buddy for letting me borrow his…
