The bronze version sold in 2010, and that's the only sale record I have for that one. I have almost a dozen sale records for silver examples in that period @CaptHenway recorded a mintage of 75-200 for the silver, 1-8 for the bronze. Those numbers feel reasonable to me. -

Nice pickup! GFRC did many things very well. However, GFRC Gen 1's photography was among the worst I've ever seen. That allowed for occasional bargains and/or pleasant surprises. I thought this semi-key trade dollar would be just dark but instead it has maybe the most original surfaces I've ever seen on a circulated T$.… -

Some food for thought... through that same early 1990s period, the old silver Swiss coinage - particularly the 30s-60s 5 Fr. coin, which contained relatively less silver than the 1/2, 1 and 2 Fr. - was often worth appreciably more in currency exchange value than in silver content. I'd bet there were people who were using… -
