Re: OT / Emotional Buckner throws out first pitch......

<< <i> << <i>I think its ridiculas that they had him throw out the first pitch. I harbor a lot of bad feelings towards him and NEVER want him in Fenway again, I dont wish anything bad on him as far as him being a man or anything but the bottom line he was involved in one of the most embarrasing plays in the history of the… -
Re: One of the dumb things eBay sellers do
<< <i> << <i>Has anyone actualy recieved a card that smelled like smoke? >> Yes, many times, unfortunatly. I have a 800 ct box with a 1990 Score set in it, and just by opening the box, you can tell which cards are the smokey ones. They're the ones with the yellow (instead of white) edges. << <i>I have had many cards… -
Re: Lost $20 item on eBay as a seller?

Some buyers don't have an issue waiting a little more. Just be polite, empathetic and communication is key. I once had someone message me a week after I shipped the item saying that they hadn't received it. I apologized but assured that it was sent the day after winning the auction and that to please give it a few more… -
Re: New 1953-S FBL Franklin made (for real this time)!

<< <i> << <i>More proof that consistent grading is bad for business if you're a TPG. Encouraging resubmissions is critical to survival. >> It can work the other way round tho' : I had a PCGS MS65FBL 52-S that got a little spotty. I sent for spot review. They got the spots off, but downgraded the coin to 64FBL and sent me a… -

"'That's a fellow board member. What's wrong? " I'm a fellow board member. ummm.......... and I say the below ebay item description, of the item you are referring too, makes me cringe. I feel actual pain reading that. it hurts. it could though suck people like you in to buying the piece of cardboard for a thousand dollars.… -

Re: Buying habits due to all the counterfeits…..
My BIL is a vet. He's good with cars, but I'm not making him check one out for me. It's not that I trust the car dealer. It's that I have a business I can sue if I need to and a business that (usually) cares about it's reputation. And NY has a lemon law. Random guy on Facebook? Good luck finding him again much less suing… -
Re: The rounding of change has begun at retailers.
The coins are gone. Zincs virtually evaporate in air and the coppers have been sucked up in vacuum cleaners for at least 42 years. The few that survive are corroding in landfills. Fear not it's easy to find all the memorials in the billions actually still "circulating". They will be common for centuries because a penny… -
Re: Who else is sick of the Cardinals?
<< <i> << <i> << <i>I love Deadspin. They give butthurt pseudo-journalist fans of losing teams a place to vent profanities about the object du jour of their ire... So when there's a team out there that's successful by playing as a team rather than a collection of individuals, and people can't find anything bad to say about… -
