Anaheim Show

Since I only spent this afternoon (Thursday) there, this is not a thorough report but a glimpse of the bourse. I had to get my consignment to Teletrade and decided since it was close to the show I would just drive it up from here in San Diego and hit the bourse, saving a registered mailing. I got there about 2pm and the… -
Re: Earth to NFL; can't convict someone because they 'threw away" something
<< <i>I am getting a little confused, actually I think it's others that are. I really don't care that much, but weren't the balls examined and they were all (except one) under the minimum air pressure? >> There was a false report of information reported by Chris Mortensen on ESPN from a league source, that said 11 of 12… -
Spring Battlefield Show Report (Gettysburg, PA)

I had a great time at last Fall’s Battlefield show, so I was glad to see that the Spring show dates lined up perfectly to let me sneak up to Gettysburg for a bit yesterday AM. I’m very glad that I did. It can be a beautiful drive from my house in Northern VA to the Eisenhower hotel in Gettysburg…..yesterday was not one of… -
Re: Official NFL HOF autograph set thread???
Any way you look at it, CJ (ukredskins) is a guy who knowingly sells fake items and doesn't care. Here are some exact quotes from one of his minions... "He is probably one of the most savvy and clever businessmen I know." "He buys and sells collections en masse, and is very knowledgeable" well, let us break this down a bit… -
Re: There's a new Pope a'comin! (with apologies to Wells Fargo Wagon)

I apparently get all of my news through the PCGS forums. Probably just as good a source as any, and probably better'n most! edited to add: Here's some Papal resignation history from the Washington Post. Only Gregory did coins, albeit very scarce, but it's possible to get "restitution" medals from them all. Looks like I've… -
Re: Supose the Government calls for all gold and silver to be handed in, in exchange for $$$$....

<< <i>Today there is no way to hide anything you have...even the land you own if the government wants it they can take it too if it proves more beneficial to them than you...so what does really matter anyway! Is it safe to say ignorance is the best policy or is it better to know and wonder about what might come...I think… -
Re: Is the Jeff Market Dead?
The Full Step market is alive and well. Started buying FS Jeff's about 5 months ago. Now low grade MS64 FS that I paid less than $9 for are now $12. The MS65FS and higher market has gone a little nuts. Seems every week they are going up by a few bucks to a lot more then a few $$. An MS66FS that I paid $35 for went on Ebay… -
Re: I see Insider's cud picture and raise him a chunk of die steel
Here is the writeup I published about it: Amazing Cud Error With Matching Die Steel Revealed By Tom DeLorey Serendipity is a marvelous thing. A few weeks ago I happened to be in downtown Chicago, and naturally stopped in at Harlan Berk’s coin shop which I had retired from in 2010 after 21 years. While there I just happened… -
Re: J.K. Lilly Gold Coin Collection
This doesn't ring true to me. Areas I would investigate: * Did Kleeberg say not one thing about false gold prior to his separation from ANS? I doubt it. Did the ANS enforce any "muzzle order" against its curators on this point? Very hard for me to believe. If ANS has anything, it is academic integrity. * Regarding the…
