I see that the coin has been spotted elsewhere. Run away. There is an old cliche in numismatics: there is no Santa Claus. If a coin is being offered at $1000 below fair market something is going on. These are the most likely scenarios: a) a stolen coin. b) a fake slab c) a total scam, and there is no coin at all, just… -

the answer is simple...YOU didn't pay for insurance.....you lose!!! Who in their right mind wouldn't pay extra for insurance when sending a check??? You're only protecting yourself.... As for him proving he sent it.....YOU did nothing to ensure that he would get extra services...he doesn't have to prove anything... I know… -

In an effort to get this thread back on track, here is a very recent example....... This Ebay listing link to listing of "1895" Morgan Dollar was recently discussed here. It might very well be a scam - the initial images were fuzzy, bidder's identities are being kept private, the coin is uncertified, most Proof 1895… -

Based on the nice reply I received from the seller, that's what he was doing. He understood and appreciated what i told him about some people thinking he might be a scammer, said he'd get in touch with the auction company and ended the listing. -
