I think everyone is limited by their budget. If i could only buy one coin a year I probably wouldn't be in this hobby long. If I even had to think about liquidity for a second I wouldn't consider it a hobby. So I think you should spend what you can afford that allows you to keep an interest in coins. I can count on one… -

You'd probably do just as well checking with local dealers as the ones at the show who flew in are likely to not be interested in carrying home relatively common rolls and bags of coins. -
