Correct. From 1897 to 1914 the paper money issued by the government of Nicholas II was 100 per cent redeemable in gold or silver. It would have been much easier to pay in paper. (View Post)2 -

A very nice set and one that clearly took time and effort to put together. The 2000 Sac dollar coin, however, is 20th century, not 21st. This is easily rectified with a post–2000 coin. (View Post)4 -
