My name is Larry Stendebach and I am a numismatist, technologist, gamer and geek.
My primary areas of expertise are in United States coinage and computer hardware…so I am a geek on at least two fronts. With over 20 years collecting and studying coins I have developed a deep passion for all topics related to numismatics, and with my background in computer technology, I take a modernist view on the hobby and what makes a great collection. Expect to see my numismatic pickups and musings on this site, as well as some amazing coin images. My work with the coin community has also earned me a moderator position at Reddit Coins – so please come over to Reddit and join the discussion.

Re: TrueView: 1789 Token 1/2D DH-8 Devonshire Plymouth in MS-63BN. The single finest known.
Meh, the one you posted from Baldwins would grade AU. Wear on the portrait and not nearly as well struck (look how much deeper mine is). I will maintain that this is the finest known until I can find… (View Post)1 -
Re: 1720-A 20 Sol US French Colonial coin that is likely top-pop Looking for Provenance help.
I would but already on its way to PCGS :) . Will post the TrueView image. I always over-expose my coins to see the surfaces...helps ID marks and issue but does not do a good job showing luster. (View Post)1 -
