Seems to be an 1840 large date N-9 R3 with the bisected die crack from below S4 to S11. Perhaps MDS, die state d, or a bit later. It may be MS63-64, with some nicks and hairlines, but a nice example … (View Post)2 -

Looks to me like the die sinker flubbed up & struck the word UNION in the wrong place then they struck over it. (View Post)3 -
