Always prospecting for new higher-grade additions to my National Commemorative Medals of the US Mint set which has some very low population medals. These were all approved by Congress, signed by the President and are official US commemorative medals. These contain a vast variety of designs and finishes and are not well known or collected.

The nickel could be made with 430 stainless steel or some other steel alloy. Much lower cost, longer durability, and a reasonably similar look. It has been used in other countries for coins. (View Post)2
