It has gotten to be almost expected for Cleveland to make a run in the Division at seasons end, and this year is no exception. After struggling for most of the year and being out of 1st place since around July 3rd, they moved back “home” last night. After dropping the series opener, they staged back to back late inning rallies.

Don’t misunderstand me, neither Chicago or Cleveland is going anywhere in the Playoffs, but the outlook for the Tribe is good. The Team has a solid Manager in Stephen Vogt along with some good young players, both pitchers and positions.

Nine games left!!

    @Darin, you’re right!!!

    Last time I saw that Chicago/Detroit score the Sox were up 8-2 and I just assumed they won. What a collapse, 5 runs by the Tigers in the 8th to seal the rally.

    So Cleveland heads into the final 6 game stretch one game ahead of Chicago. Both teams play the Royals in Kansas City, with the White Sox having the favorable schedule, fining this weekend with three on the road against the Rockies. The Cleveland vs. Red Sox three game series will probably decide everything with the Red Sox in the hunt for a Wild Card.

    @Darin, the way the Royals play these last six games may decide the Division winner.

    Well, another late inning rally to beat the Red Sox in Fenway, 3-2. With the White Sox up on the Royals 14-4 in the 7th things should remain unchanged, Cleveland up by a game with 5 left.

    Gotta love a pennant face. 😇

    I know…. I wish they would do something. Yesterday it ended up 14-11 and of course the pitching was atrocious. 😩
    At least Cleveland is on a nice winning streak hope they keep it up!

    Apparently the White Sox Achilles heel is their bullpen because they seem to have no problem scoring runs. Last Friday they were up 8-2 and collapsed against Detroit, almost repeated that yesterday. By contrast, the Indians have to scrap for runs but their bullpen can shut teams down.
