Circulated Flowing hair half with a lot going for it

A few months ago the local dealer called with a new coin that he thought I would want. It was actually a really good summer for coins, now that fishing season is over I should have time to start organizing them.
As soon as I saw it I purchased it, no negotiation needed. The coin had so much going for it
1)old green holder
2)perfect VG 10 coin with no annoying marks (scuffs on holder)
3)from the commodore Perry collection
4)priced right

Anyone else have any coins from the Perry Collection. This coin came from a collector who purchased it from Heritage in the early 2000's. You can see the listing there

From time that coin was taken out of circulation, until it was slabbed, I wonder how that coin was stored?

Perfect! Amazing that no one ever decided to "clean it up a bit." Holder just needs a little Plastix to get rid of the scuffs.

Fishteeth landed another whopper. The T-16 variety appears to be DS2, with the crack starting at S15. The coin does have a meaningful pedigree, with a lot of history from Commodore Perry going back to the War of 1812. The Commodore probably plucked it from circulation after its tour of duty in commerce, and then sat undisturbed through generations of heirs until the B&M auction in 1995. Almost a birth year coin for Perry, but he probably had trouble finding a large silver 1794 US Mint silver coin.

One of the nicest examples for the grade assigned I've seen. I'm like you, if I see a coin that's just what I'm looking for, and the price is right, I'll just buy it.
This piece that coin brother Mr. Fishteeth is showing I find in extremely well cared for condition without any distracting bag marks, blemishes, scratches and shows like a superstar.

Many gold coins small amount of silver and a 1794 half. He told me that back in 1918, when he was a teller he got this in a transaction. He put it in a manila 2x2 envelope, the same one I purchased it in. It looked alot like this 95.

That's a great looking '95.....
30 or 35 years ago, when these were quite affordable, I scrounged up a nice little group. Motivated by the profit motive, they were soon all gone. I don't have a single one today......
