You are off to a fine start there! The 56's are my favorite Topps football set. They have bold colors, lots of stars, and the set is managable at 120/121 cards. I'm at 10% graded PSA 8 or better right now. I'll lower that though, since I am not paying crazy money for the #1 card or Lenny Moore.
Successful dealings with shootybabitt, LarryP, Doctor K, thedutymon, billsgridirongreats, fattymacs, shagrotn77, pclpads, JMDVM, gumbyfan, itzagoner, rexvos, al032184, gregm13, californiacards3, mccardguy1, BigDaddyBowman, bigreddog, bobbyw8469, burke23, detroitfan2, drewsef, jeff8877, markmac, Goldlabels, swartz1, blee1, EarlsWorld, gseaman25, kcballboy, jimrad, leadoff4, weinhold, Mphilking, milbroco, msassin, meteoriteguy, rbeaton and gameusedhoop.

A new pickup from the nice mail lady...

Yeah, not sure if I am going to try to stay 8 or better or not. I did pick up the Lions team card in PSA 7 but it stands out from the rest in my opinion.

You have a really nice set going.
Keep on working on it and posting them
here. Great looking Ollie Matson card and other
    pickups.

I collect this set too. The Redskins and some Cardinals cards
will test your wallet in PSA 8 when you get to them.

I believe I will pick up the majority of the sp's in PSA 7 unless I find a really good deal. Centering is my main concern for the set so that will be a bigger obstacle on most the funds.

Are you planning to chase the contest cards and checklist?

Yes Schmidt and Jones are going to run a good deal. I have been on the prowl for a mere PSA 6 of each and those are pricey for that condition.

A few more knocked off the list....

Currently have 66/120 with 10 more on the way to PSA, hopefully I will have a good results with those.

The Peters and Wells came from CU member itzagoner
Shaw, Dillon and Scudero were all raw self submissions, I thought all 3 had outside chances at 8's
    The others were Ebay pickups

I have 6 more at PSA now. Once those grades pop I belive I will be down to 28 cards to go.

    Thanks for looking.

Sweet looking cards, I think the 54/55 Bowman and 56 Topps are very affordable cards and stacked with big names and out of the 3 I just mentioned the 56 Football is by far the best looking set IMO

Guys, great cards. I always thought the 56 set was the nicest. I just love the colors. The first vintage FB card I bought when I was a kid was a 56 Elroy Hirsch because I was a Rams fan. I think I may just start this set. I was looking on ebay and PSA 7's are reasonable and the set isn't that big.

    ssdawg,
Awesome job on the '56 set progress. With the vivid colors and challenging Redskins/Cardinals SPs, this is also my favorite Topps Football set. I'm a set collector, and typically focus on cards in the PSA 8 range, but this is the one set where I shoot for the sky. I'm actually working on scanning all of my football sets, but here are a few scans I had available from this set. Always nice to find some other '56 FB collectors.
