Anyone want to have a group rip

I have a BBCE wrapped 76 BB rack pack with George Brett on back.
I kind of want to open it.
If several more folks would join in with a group rip if would be a lot of fun!

lets have a post Super Bowl rip party this upcoming week.
Anyone in?

That's a beautiful rack and I'm with the poster above who said to preserve it. It's yours to do with what you want, buy man that's a tough one lol.
Always looking for OPC "tape intact" baseball wax boxes, and 1984 OPC baseball PSA 10's for my set. Please PM or email me if you have any available.

Looks like it might be OC L/R based on back...but...If you decide to rip it, I'd rip an 80/81 BK pack that I recently purchased.

It'd be nice to see some more wax offered up to incentivize your rip.

That being said, I'd probably keep that pack as is...but should the urge get the best of you, I'm offering up my share.

    Best if luck either way.

I have a 78 vending box from a case that I will be cracking open at some point over the next couple of months~I broke one down a few months ago and 38 of the 62 cards I initially submitted graded PSA 9 or 10, so I am cautiously optimistic about the prospects..

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

Had a couple requests to see the front of the 76 rack.
If I ripped it I think the best I could hope for on the Brett would be PSA 8, and that's out the window if the front is badly OC.
Probably can't tell from my poor scans, but the pack is torn pretty bad between the Allietta and Tyson cards at the bottom.
I'm leaning toward ripping it tomorrow evening, you only live once.
Thanks for those who are joining in, rip at your convenience!

Not much to report on my 76 rack, most cards were at least a little off center, and most seemed to have at least one corner ding.
Had a couple requests for sequencing via PM, so I will post that next.
Hank looks like the best card!

There were 15 cards in the inside cell, and 14 each in the middle and outside.
And no, I did not plant the Hank card. LOL. This is the order they were in.

I have to imagine the fact that you had a small tear made it a bit easier to rip. Aaron looks pretty nice.

I guess I'm on the hook now for a 80/81 BK rip.

    Stay tuned.

I like the Bridgeman / Dr. J card. And I've always liked Parrish. No biggies, but always a thrill.

Wow, those are some great rips!! I absolutely love 80/81 Topps basketball... I was pulling for you to hit the BIG ONE, even though it might have broken my heart (assuming that was one of my packs). The only reason I made a couple of those available was because I recently acquired a PSA 8 pack with the BIG ONE showing on the back.

Thanks to both of you for sharing... might have to see if I can dig up anything to rip!!

NICE on the 80/81 Topps Basketball !!!

QUESTION: I have 5 packs of 80/81 Basketball from BBCE that I plan to open. One pack has the Long/Magic (R) LDR/Boone on the back.....would you guys open that or keep sealed?? I know the answer would vary but curious to know your thoughts....

That's a definite one to keep sealed. There will be strong demand for it, especially if it ever gets slabbed, and if opened the chances of it having wax stains are very likely. If you're looking to sell it (or any of them), shoot me a PM. image

I noticed this thread a day or two ago & having the itch to rip lately with Heritage still a few weeks away, I pulled out some of my old wax.
First a pack of '82 & '83 Donruss both from fun bags.
image Not much of note in them except the Boggs. It looks like a little tilt ?

Next I opened an '84 Topps pack.
image For 1 pack, this is not bad.
I then went to an 81-'82 basketball pack also from a fun bag.
image Borders are iffy on this issue but the cards pulled were pretty nice, there was an Archibald in there too.
Last I ripped 6 '84 Donruss packs from a full box I have.
image The borders are real tough here . I also got a Boggs but put that into my raw card set album .
Thanks to the original poster Darin.

Brad - that was one of the packs from you. Nice cards and thanks again.

Dave - if you still have the Duke Snider puzzle pieces from your 84 packs, I'd trade you something for them. I'm trying to complete the puzzle.
