It was a fake but the seller wanted $2.00 so I got it. It's a real 1893 in AU, whizzed, with as added "S"
If I can get the S off with acetone, is there any value left?

It does have value, imo, beyond its melt value.

100% weighs right on my scale and looks right. It's not a fake morgan, just an added s.

Only silver value for a whizzed 1893 Morgan? In that case, I'll buy all you have and flip them on eBay for well over $100 each...
Seller wasn't to bright, nearly 3/4 oz. of silver for 2 dollars. Does he have more?
