Franklin shout outs : bushmaster8 & BigE

1. Just wanted to say that I got a good start to my Franklin set with a package I received yesterday from bushmaster8.

Didn't get a chance to take any pics yet, but I got a nice starter bundle of Frankies that included a nicely worn Whitman album (not part of the deal!) holding the ones I bought, plus another one!.

They range from mild toners to almost blast white, so it's a nice mix.

Much thanks to bushmaster for the extras!

2. It would have been a double fun Frankie day, but all the mailman left me with that package was a delivery slip from another deal i worked with BigE for some others on Friday. I won't get those today either due to work and happy hour obligations, but I did want to throw some props out there for the ease and speed of that deal/delivery.

The dates for the ones I got from E will fill out the Whitman a good bit more, so once I get those in and play with them I'll have a visual idea of how far along I am on the set I was asking about last week. And I'll try my hand at some good pics of course.

Looking forward to opening that package up.

3. So, big props to the ease of working with bushmaster8 and BigE on these deals, I'd highly recommend either of these guys to deal with.

4. And thanks everyone else who chimed in on my AU58 set thread for getting my raw Franklin bug/set started. We'll see how long the ocd takes to kick in completion of it - HA!

Man I hope it's not done by April so I don't go starting something else. Although, raw, that could be a BIG possibility, especially with the b-day before May...and the extra money from quitting smoking around too.

    I'm doomed I know....

Congrats on working on the Franklins. One of the nice things about them is that up through MS63 almost all are pretty inexpensive. The latter ones continue to be pretty inexpensive even up through MS64, so there is plenty of room for upgrading as you learn more about the series.

I'm looking forward to the base roots, definitely. I haven't done any coin action in a while (been bullion solo for a good bit), so we'll see where this re-intro takes me.

I'll have to converse with pops too, haven't talked numis with him in a while, nor seen his collection in the past 20+ years...although he did throw me a state quarter unc book and 2 birth-mint year sets for my b-day last year for me and the wife.

Finally made it to the P.O. to pick up the BigE package yesterday. Nice lot of Frankies, lots of dates, a couple nice pocket piece candidates (anybody made a PO1 yet?), and a nice surprise.

    Thanks Eric!!!

Passed around one of the 48s at the bar last night to the old timers, got some nice conversations started with that.

Maybe pics up later tonight when I'm in the studio.

Off to a good start on my raw AU_MS set, haven't filled holes with the loose ones yet. First real attempt at coin pics with my crapmera, freehand.
