1830 Bust Half

Can anyone tell me diagnostics for a large letter variety? Are the AM connected on American?

I dont have the abilty for pics at this moment(on the road), so it is a little harder to explain this coin.

I have another bust half to compare but it is a different year. They are larger on the 1830, but I dont have a comparison for the same year.

Thanks for putting up with all my questions.

Gary

There are four large 0 varieties (120, 121, 122, 123). In none does AM touch. The zero is 2 3/4mm tall. I'm sure you can measure with calipers while you drive. image

Oops...you mean large letters not large 0. Never mind...
    Lance.

O.114: 50C is large and high. Large, tall, broad letters. Arrowheads close together and touch shaft above. D and S are very close (1mm apart). Right sides of TI and DE in line. M lower than adjacent E. Same reverse used in 1828 (S).

Thanks for the help. It is not large letters. The guy was calling it large letters, because they are bigger than other letters from other years. The price is now much more reasonable.

    Thanks
