Priced to sell?

This thread is not a reflection on anyone currently selling as I see this all the time and sometimes it's absolutely true. The funny thing is more times then not when I see (priced to sell the coins are over priced) and do not sell....it's baffeling to me??? Maybe I should add it to all of my Ebay $.99 cent auctions becuase frankly.....if I start the bid at 99 cents then in my opinion....it's priced to sell

When I worked in retail (long long ago) people would always ask, "is this ON SALE?"

I'd reply, "it's FOR sale" and they'd get annoyed. People always want things "ON SALE" so they can get a "good deal"

So then we'd mark everything up, and put it "ON SALE" discounted to our regular price, and everyone was happy.

"priced to sell" means its a "good deal"

I know that's what it means but used in conjunction with an overpriced coin.......I don't get it?

"Priced to sell" means exactly that to me...The item has a price on it and is currently for sale. In fact, it would be hard to sell anything that wasn't priced to sell.

There was (and probably still is) a store at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco with a big sign saying "Going Out For Business."

If a customer has to ask "Is THIS on sale?" then they obviously don't know what fair market is for the item, and they're just "fishing" for Charlie Tuna.

Priced to sell means that the seller believes the price is good and thus is firm. If you start an auction at 99 cents, it is not priced to sell, because it's an auction and that's just the opening bid.

I know of a furniture store in Alabama that seemed to have a "Going Out of Business" sale at least once a month. I think he's been going out of buisness for at least twenty years.

"Priced to not sell!!!" doesn't work as good as "Priced to sell".

if you start a $100 coin at at .99 cents it will sell so it is priced to sell

I remember the old days, there was a commercial on the radio for a car dealer. The announcer said " Today only : We've got a deal for you. Want a new car ? Just bring in your old jalopy and the wife and we'll dicker".

I don't know why people price things to sell ... they should just dicker.
