I think my mailman prefers Numismatic News over Coin World...

LongacreLongacre Posts: 16,717 ✭✭✭
In another thread, I mentioned that I recently subscribed to Numismatic News as a hedge against the spotty delivery of Coin World. Things were going fine with the first two issues of NN. However, in the past two weeks, I have not received any NN issues, but remarkably the deliveries of CW have resumed like clockwork.

Could it be that my mailman simply prefers NN over CW?

I used to subscribe to Comics Buyer's Guide, delivered to my box at a UPS store. One of the clerks was an alternative, goateed, cartoonist type. My copy of CBG would always be late, and this clerk chap would have telltale newspaper-ink smudges on his fingers. I'm convinced he took every copy home for a few days before delivering it to my box.

....you didn't say, longacre, whether or not you are receiving CW in the plastic wrapper or not. THAT would make a

difference because mister mailman couldn't read it then! image

They have only so much time to print each one. Which one do you want them to print next week?

As far as the delivery process goes, the best QC they have would be customer complaints.

Start with the postman and work your way up.

Coinosaurus is way too busy to keep track of when the CW and NN arrive. I read them when they show up and that's it.

How quaint. Longacre has his issues read to him.

I have had no delivery issues since moving to NN. Sometimes I would go 2 weeks with no Coin World and then receive 2 issues on the same day.

That's the thing, when you can only read ten words a minute, it is a lot faster to have something read to you image
