PVC on these half cents?
I put these under the dinolite when I was looking at things on the silver roosie tonight.
Is this dirt or PVC?
(being partially colorblind, I can't tell "green" for PVC most of the time)

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

There are PCGS AUs, so I was a tad worried....

It's verdigris but it doesn't look very active. When it's bright green and whitish at the edge it is eating away at the coin.
I'm not sure I would use acetone on copper. It can be just fine but sometimes it turns the color. A few times I've had PCGS deal with the verdigris on pricey copper and have always been very satisfied.
Lance.
As long as it doesn't do anything, that's fine.

I'd expect you could see that with the naked eye but it wouldn't be so noticable. Perhaps you should team up with RYK to come up with an extremently derogatory sounding and thus complimentary term for dirty copper including words like "putrid" and "disgusting".
