I have the book, but can't seem to nail it down.......possible O-120 ?
Any help would be appreciated.

The edge is missing the "OR" and "HALF"

    My opinion : O-117

SHield lines over runs, center dot crossbar 3, 18 wider than 834 D-E in line right sides

As for O-120, 5 in 50C is not horned, etc

It is 117. The quick pickup is the rotated and doubled A in STATES on the reverse.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

    A attributing tip...
Do the reverse first, the T to I alignment and the right scroll edge to "AM".
If you look at the Overton pictures you will see what I mean.
In this case with both Large and Small Date and Letters.
Elimination of the Large D & L is done.
The right scroll edge to "AM", took the O-120 out of the picture.

I'll second that! T to I alignment and the scroll are standard starting points for me.

Sumadora, you've got a sweet, crusty AU 1834 with a tough edge error!

  • Good info from all......I do appreciate it...thank you.

On second thought, me thinks she's a guido. I missed the flattening of the rims.

Sumorada, are there any edge letters where the rims are flattened?

  • Here are a couple pics of the rim adjacent to the flat spots....no letters

I don't have any guido's but most that I have seen have been mid-30's. If you search under guido, there are some interesting threads on topic.

Sumorada, yours sure looks like a guido to me.
