Early MS Lincolns: RD, RB or BN, which do you prefer and why?

I have not seen very many fully RD original early Lincolns (1909-1933) but I have seen many, many RB or BN ones. Some of these coins are simply gorgeous, particularly those that have a variety of color to them. Some of the MPL's that are posted on the Registry Forum by MPL fanatics are just to die for.
However, after seeing pictures of some of Mr. Blay's RD early Lincolns (and other RD copper), I am stunned at how nice they look.
I guess my choice would be RB examples with nice color, in part because they are gorgeous and in part because I have a better chance of being able to afford them.
How about you?

1, you dont have to freakout worrying they will turn from RD to RB on you, #2, they are sooooooo much more affordable.
An added bonus is some of the gorgeous toning on the early ones.
The fact is when I began collecting all I could get was BNs from those years so I'm happy to search out well struck, eye appealing examples.
If I didn't have to work within My budget I'd be going for a set like this.
Hope the owner doesn't mind me posting a lingk to the ESM collection.
That 09 S VDB is ............................
So to answer the OP, I'd be lying if I didn't say RD is my preference, but I like 'em all.

that is red. It just looks so cool compared to RB or BN. Being able
to gaze on a red cent that is 100-150 years old is amazing.
Yes i like early copper better then Lincolns... but a red 1909-1919 wheat
is just as neat and has a lot of POP!
I agreed that was up to the individual and his preferences.
However, this one hits a soft spot (no jokes please) with me.
I had a chance to get a lot of early RD Indian cents at very low prices about 3 years ago.
I couldn't pass them up and ended up adding to them, ending up
with 90% red and a few RB coins in my collection. Except for the CN dates of course.
To an oldtimer like me, who had never even seen one before, they were irresistable!
I also had in mind the investment potential for them.
I guess that answers your question. Red for sure.

I collect all 20th century series except gold including those series that ended there.
They are less likely to have been "conserved".
They are usually much cheaper.
They can be found with fantastic eye appeal.

I have to admit a fond attraction to some RB's and BN's I'm always looking to upgrade. Honestly, some of the reds out there don't have a fraction of the character and allure.
<< <i>I find myself leaning toward the RB lately, so I guess I'm gonna go with that.

Mike, I noticed ( lol ) you bought my avatar coin. I promise a change tommorow bud, you earned it.
Ideally someday I'll have a 1909-29 set that's at least half RD and the rest nice RB. Until then I'll have t do with a mix of RD, RB, BN and AU.
I've got the 1930-present set in nice original RD already, but too many pesky 64s that I can't find upgrades for at prices I want to pay.
Some of these coins I have had for decades....
60 years into this hobby and I'm still working on my Lincoln set!
<< <i>RB for me.

Ditto.
