I'm an Ike lover and a cheater
Found an Ike Dansco on ebay a couple of weeks ago. It looked real fine, the seller looked good and had a Buy It Now price.
In usual ebay fashion I was watching auction Ike Dansco's going for more than the Buy It Now that my seller had listed. Scratching my head I went ahead and bought it. It showed yesterday and it's better than I imagined. He had said all the Ike were BU and the proofs pulled from mint sets (actually I don't remember if that's exactly what he said about the proofs but it's obvious that they are. They're perfect).
The coins with maybe 1 or 2 small exceptions look very nice and it wildly exceeds my expectations.
Photos later when I get a chance. I have been traveling like never before lately and I've also been buying bicycles like never before either. I now have 5. One for every possible scenario you can imagine. Just bought a Dahon Mu P8 folding bike which is cool beyond belief. If you bike, google it up. If you don't ....... stick with my Ike discussion.
Anyway, I cheated. I bought them all at once and what I got was a mint Dansco for a couple bucks cheaper than the active auctions. I'll never ever understand that phenomenon.

Congrats on the buy.......sounds like a great set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In a nutshell, look for the FEV 71-D, a peg leg on the 71-S Blue Ike, die abrasion peg legs on any of the non-proof non-Bicentennial non-1972 Silver Blue Ikes, check for any heavy die abrasion on either side and for any of the 6 die-clash images.
Look with an open mind for anything out of the ordinary, LOL!

Never view my other linked pages. They aren't coin related.
The Eisenhower Arena has been ignored for nearly 30 years and I can state without a doubt that there are many, many unique coins and varieties!
