1863 Indian Cent - Chemically Cleaned?
Let me start off by saying, I'm a baseball card guy, and I have no clue when it comes to coins, but I do respect your hobby.
I have a friend who has a 1863 Indian Cent in great condition, but when they take it to a coin shop, they tell them it's been chemically cleaned. What do they mean by that, and what does that do to the value? To my very untrained eye, it looks fantastic. I'm sorry for not having any scans, but I may be able to get some if you really want to see it. Thanks for any help!
