Does ths look EX-MT to you???

Recent eBay purchase. The card is still in the top-holder it was shipped in and taped. I have not removed it.

The seller will not respond. Maybe I am missing something. What would you grade this beauty??

  • Have they been folded or are the lines I'm seeing in the scan?

Print lines are normal for these cards. The issues I have is with the upper corner (upper left on the front, upper right on the back).

I wouldn't expect to see a corner like that on a ex-mt card. I wouldn't even want to see a corner that bad on an EX card either.

Are those refractor lines on the card? I recall someone saying once refractor lines don't impact the grade, but I find that hard to believe given they can be very distracting. I think Topps has gotten better with the refractor technology over the years, I can't recall seeing nearly as many of these as there were in the 1990s, but then again I don't open new wax or buy much modern stuff.

Was the card damaged in the mail? The corner doesn't look that bad in the seller's crummy pic...

I don't think so. Was it interesting is that the corner of the card looks like it got bent completely over while it was in the penny sleeve, but the top loader is clean as a whistle. I am assuming that the card got damaged while putting it in the top loader or prior to, but after the pic of the auction was taken (if indeed that is a picture of the card that was sent to me).

Even with the crummy picture, the corner in question looks ok.
