The CPG is a very informative guide but it doesn't really do these coins the justice they deserve.
As for the 1972-S, since 0 have been graded by PCGS, I have no idea but the coin could possibly present just as much dramatic doubling as the other two! The same is true for the 1973-S.
The name is LEE!
Comparing the FS-103 with a lessor known DDO of the same year:
FS-103
Minor DDO
I do not have my FS-106 available or I'd shoot that one for you. These are major DDO's and if they were NOT IKE's they would certainly command a 4 figure premium instead of what they are currently going for.
The name is LEE!
Not quite as dramatic as the FS-103 but nice doubling non the less.
On a different note, the coin below is not listed in the CPG but it has very dramatic Doubling on the Reverse:
Picked it up at a local coin shop for about $7.00!
The name is LEE!
Thanks Again

Thank You,

That is easy...there exist over 50 different doubled obverse dies for 1971 proofs, most of them being very minor, very difficult to see, and very, very difficult to attribute.
If the doubling is not FS 103 or 106, then PCGS will just denote it as Minor Variety DDO without trying to attribute it to a specific die.
Too bad the CPer's Guide pix are just pitiful in comparison. A shift that major and that scarce should be valued higher IMO.
If good pix like Lee's were used in the CPG, I think demand would be significant.
THANK YOU Lee for sharing these , and all your other great IKE pix!
and they're cold.
I don't want nobody to shoot me in the foxhole."
