The only one time I buy the plastic and not the coin, I get screwed...
I see this and think... "HEY, THAT'S COOL" and buy it...
It comes today, the back side well TAPED down well onto a piece of plastic foam. I carefully remove the tape and... you guessed it... TAPE RESIDUE
Now my question is... what is the best way to remove such residue from a slab, because I'm SURE that PCGS will not reslab it the way I want it
I think it's still cool and all, but not with the FRIGGIN residue

Now... is goo-gone safe for slabs/coins? Is there a way I could remove this residue? Thanks for any suggestions!

You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.

<< <i>WD-40 applied to a soft cloth. Works every time. >>
The name is LEE!
And Meguiars PlastX have all worked at one time or the other for me.
<< <i>My wife uses peanut butter to get tape glue off anything. I tried it and it works really well. Just a dab on your finger, rub it around and then wipe it off. Works fine. >>
Thats a new one for me. I'll have to try it. I have some stubborn residue on some metal that is dried and caked. Even WD40 does not work.
From the auction.....
"That's right, PCGS isn't as perfect as thier inflated price guide might suggest."

<< <i>To remove tape residue, always try using scotch tape to try and dab it off first. You might be surprised at how easy it actually is. >>
I do the same thing and it works most of the time. Nose grease also works.
<< <i>Peanut butter also takes chewing gum out of kids hair. Cheers, RickO >>
hey ricko! does it work on extra chunky too?.....
<< <i>The Lettered Edge 1795 Cent had tape on the slab, I cannot understand why someone has to mark up the slab with tape and garbage. >>
This is often a sign that the dealer is not and never has been a collector. Otherwise, he would know better.
