IHC Coin albums, has anyone ever seen a round one?

Has anyone ever seen a round, coin design cover, IHC coin album? I heard about one last night. Who made it? Do they carry a premium?

Thanks!

I have heard of it, and I remember a board member posting a picture of it a few weeks ago. It is similar to a Lincoln Cent book my brother has.

Really? I'll have to do a search. You wouldn't happen to remember what the thread was about/titled would you?

I don't remember the post title or who wrote it. I broke into my brother's safe and took some pictures of his Lincoln album. It doesn't have a manufacturer's name on it, only the name of a bank to turn it in to when you have it full and they'll give you $189!

  • I have never seen an album like that- that is really super!

I assume it was made during the Great Depression because of the ending date of 1929. Penny boards were apparently pretty popular during the Depression.

I'll have to drag them out, but I'm pretty sure I have the Licoln album like the one photographed, along with a Jefferson Nickel one printed like and shaped like, um, a Jefferson Nickel.

Edited to add that I remember having the IHC book of the same design, but my dad upgraded to a Dansco with slides in the 60's and threw the empty album out.

That's cool. I have to get one for my Lincolns which don't make the cut for the Dansco.
