Need some help- Toning with matches

a dealer i know is starting to expiriment toming coins using crushed up match heads. he's doing it with junk coins for now, but he is talking about moving up to more expensive coins. i need more information about it so i can convince him it is extremely frowned upon by the numismatic community before he does any real damage. i plan on showing him this post and its responses so please help me convince him. thank you in advance for your reponses.

Coin Doctoring is very, very wrong and harms the hobby as a whole.

As a dealer you would think he knows that. But that assumes common sense is something everyone has.

Paul, they all start this way with the "I wonder what would happen ifs" and the "I'll just try in on junk coins" until they start producing some nice looking stuff and then dumping it on the market. Out him!

If the reactions there, and the "reasoning" behind it don't make him stop, then it is all about potential money for him.
Though....if you show him the threads, he may move on to trying to tone coins in OGHs......
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
