What is this? I thought it was a Spade token?

I thought this was one of those gaming token's, Doesn't look like brass or gilted bronze, But seem's to be silver? 19mm. TIA,OD...

    That looks like a full-on counterfeit guinea to me, rather than the "evasive" card counters. The legends seem to match a normal guinea legend.

    I doubt it's actually silver; they would'nt waste perfectly good silver on it when lead or pewter would work "just as well".

    Lead would probably be a safe bet.

    I have heard, however, that gold coins have also been found to have been counterfeit in platnum - but that was in reference to a ducat contemporary counterfeit - wouldn't make sense in today's market.

    Either way, probably not applicable here, but that was a little tid bit I learned a while back that I thought was interesting (thanks Doug!)... I always wanted to find an example of such a counterfeit.

    I suspected it might be counterfeit, The pattern around the edge is what threw me..... Weight is 2.0 gram's. It's not lead, I made an attempt to bend it, not going to happen. I checked the legend and it did match the 1795 Half Guinea. Platinum? I doubt it. Seem's like i read an article somewhere about platinum melt's around, 3000 degree's farenheit and then only in a hydrogen furnace? Thank's for the input though....
