Post the best response you've every received by David Hall to a post

These are rare.

But I remember him replying to a post of mine here: Link.

His post:

My vote for post of the year...

new contest...

"PCGS message board Post of the month."

Prize: 10 free PCGS grading submissions. Send your nominations to Carol J (don't nominate yourself Cameron.)

CAROL...my nomination for June is "Photoshop fantasy" 6-24, 5:30pm by shylock.

I never took him up on those free submissions...

But it would be cool if he established a post of the month prize.

The best ones were PMs. I wish I could share them. image

David Hall responded to someone's else post but it was a gem. Why was it a gem? He probably had to edit something that was spousal survival related? image

    Hi Greg,

We had an afternoon party last week at one of the local sports bars. Food was good and everyone likes their job!

    Thanks,

    David

    PS...no spouses at the party!

RYK: I proposed a seated coin type set and spelled it out in this thread.

    DH: I love this idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    THANKS.

Also...maybe a designer type set, i.e... all the Charles Barber coins (maybe with or without the patterns), Gobrecht, Morgan, etc.

    DH

I have not followed up on the idea to see if they ever formulated a registry set for seated coins by type. image

His best line was to smoe joker to "hold the coin closer to the phone or monitor so that he could see it better". Some here thought that was in poor taste or low class or unduly sarcastic but I thought it was as funny as hell. image

My best post was perpetuated by CosmicDebris, he send a Q&A to David telling him he knows this collector who collects nothing but Cook Islands proof sets, he is very shy and would like to get them graded and pedigreed. David answers back "Tell him to send them in and I'll grade the 1st set for free!". So I pack off all the set with the copy of the PM. A week later I get a PM from David saying we set him up! But I did get these!!!

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Bruce, found the thread but the pic is no longer there. If you have the coin in a registry set and a pic somewhere I can post a pic from that.
