Got this in change today as a quarter. I was pretty surprised...I thought it was interesting, and was curious how it ended up here.

Interesting, since Italy uses Euros now that sort of coinage has been out of circulation for a number of years.
I imagine someone brought it back and probably just got mixed into pocket change, or someone ripped someone's foreign set off.

Pretty neat to get it cause someone thought it was a quarter. But the reverse...kinda uneye-appealing in a 'todays society' kinda way..

Cool
.
I found a few of those in change back in the day, I would rush home and look up the price and always was disappointed.
Either way it's a interesting 40 year old find.
