That's what I thought too, when I saw the pic....I have an 1896 that looks just like that that a friend brought back from China a couple of months ago.....

Correct! It is a counterfiet. I picked it up at the Flea Market for $2 as a curiosity. The guy that had them said he ordered a bulk lot from someone in China.

I guess the keyword is China. I thought they were more well known for counterfiet trade dollars but I guess Morgans fall into that category also.

I read somewhere that over 70% of all the worlds knock-off, fake, counterfeit, pirated, or otherwise garbage is produced and comes out of China.

I have actually been there. Every corner has a shop with Movies that have not even hit the theatres yet for less than a dollar U.S.

It is a pretty bad situation.
