You Morgan VAM guys must go insane.....

looking at all of those coins on ebay...... just a year ago the average # of Peace $ for sale was about 2800/week. Now, it's doubled to over 5300/week..... I struggle to keep up with them all on a daily basis.... Looking at the Morgans, I cant see any of you guys fully looking at 100% of the coins out there when Morgan average over 20k/week..... there's just not enough time in the day......image

You will always miss something nice, but if you get enough other nice ones, it kinda makes up for it. I picked up 13 of the same variety over the last month.
  • It's gone up radically in just the last few months. Among other things, I'm tracking all the 1921's, and they've gone from 1400+ to 1900+ at any given time just since last fall. I've had to abandon tracking Barber quarters and Large Cents altogether, and concentrate on Morgans. Even so, there's no time to look for any but the most obvious VAM's among the pre-1921's.

I still have to spare the time to earn a living to buy these coins, y'know. image

Then there's also Heritage, Superior, Teletrade, etc. It is truly a wonderful time to be interested in buying or selling coins, unless you're a brick-and-mortar dealer whose core livelihood is being eaten away by Ebay. I hate to drop the P-word, but the paradigm is shifting in the less-valuable coin arena. It's at the point where I'm seriously considering dropping out of the rat race to concentrate full-time on Ebay.
