I've had great transactions with people like: drwstr123, CCC2010, AlanLastufka, Type2, Justlooking, zas107, StrikeOutXXX, 10point, 66Tbird, and many more!
IMO, 66. Maybe, dare I say...67. Clear field and face for the obverse though it is hard to see from the glare in the picture, can't see any rim dings. The reverse is just as nice.
Best wishes for a Happy and Healthy Holiday season. Julian

Hint - for those who do not usually look at pattern coins - the vast majority were struck as Proof's, not business strikes. And, if you happen to think (hint, hint) it might be copper, bronze, etc., it would be designated "RD", "RB" or "BN".
P66RB - hard to tell color from pic - wouldn't be surprised if red.
Interesting era when you could put "God is Glorious" on a coin! I've always liked that part of the design, especially on the $20 Stella.

Nice coin. I happen to know an individual responsible for costing the present owner more than a few bucks on that one. In fact, he's sitting in my chair.

I was going to say PR66 RB, but there's something going on with the reeding on the obverse. Can I change my answer?

Andy, please give that guy in your chair a good kick on my behalf. Also, tell him he's an idiot - he bid way too much
I'll let my client (with whom the coin has been placed) know that a super sharp dealer and pattern guy apparently liked the coin too.
<< <i>Now wait just one minute, Coinguy1--the coin is marked 895.8 Silver and 100 Copper on the reverse, so it is a silver coin. I will go with PR 67 >>
BigMoose, I wasn't trying to mislead anyone with the color designation hints. The coin is a metric dollar, but struck in copper, and in fact has a "RB" color designation.
Those copper patterns are ALWAYS very tough to grade, I think even for the TPGs, and I don't believe I've ever seen one designated CAM, so I'm goin' with PR64RB. (since you gave that last part way already... )
That said, the reverse looks pretty close to cameo, but that doesn't count!
Don't you know that it's worth every treasure on Earth to be young at heart? And as rich as you are, it's much better by far, to be young at heart!
It would be PCGS P66RB, NGC 67RB. Mark - you agree??

WOW - never thought it would be as low as 65. If it needs a new home (at 65 money), let me know.

64 due to what looks like flat areas that I would consider strike weakness.
I'm not sure if it should go RB or BR, the color is way awsome, and may in fact qualify as a brown, but I like it a lot.
Since it's difficult to discern any hairlines, it's difficult to determine if it gets a lower grade, but that's my humble opinion.
Oh, by the way, it's way cool and I have saved an image to my virtual coin collection.
Your photos showing the color make judging the grade difficult.
That being said, I will guess the coin is PF 66 RB...Mike

Consider the latter done, many times over. The former may be more difficult.

Patterns always seem to get a bump in the grade, but does it really matter?
<< <i>Well, the answer is????? >>
PCGS PR65RB. I think it's a solid (and gorgeous) PR66RB and probably paid a price commensurate with such a grade.
