just wanted to update most everyone. i desided to go for this one. i know i stated in other posts id wait for a rarer coin and or a $3 or a $20 . but this i feel dont come around everyday and would be less than smart to pass on this. i want to thank nicholas on this deal ( i dotn know many dealers willing to work with a client till nearly 2 am to close a deal. that is real customer service. very cool.
i think you made a wise decision on a really scarce above average eye appealling sexy coin

Okay, I have to draw the line there. There was a fair amount of low-end material in the gold portion of the Richmond sale, including some coins that had been "worked" and many dipped out shiny ones. To say that "all the Richmond coins had real nice color on them" is a gross generalization, misleading, and, frankly, wrong.
As for the coin in question, when I see a coin that is apparently undergraded, the first thing I ask myself is "what am I missing here?" Or, in other words, has the coin been net graded for a minor problem? A potential buyer should do the same.
I am just speaking for the coins that I purchased. I didn't really take a look at anything outside of a dosen or so $2.5s. I am sorry if i overgeneralized my previous statement.
PS. I am just curious, and I don't want to be a smart alec. Why did it take until 2 AM to close the deal? What time did the negotiations start?
