Two Week Priority Special

Oh boy, this one raised some hackles in the eBay Sellers forum a month or so ago. I'd purchased a couple of Morgans thru eBay with BIN and the seller wanted immediate payment with the promise of Priority shipping & handling. Their feedback rating was 400-500 with only 2 negs and no neuts. No problem, as soon as the auction closed I paid right then following the instructions of the seller and saved the e-mail for reference. After about a week (7 days) I e-mailed the seller and asked the status and they said "We should be getting around to your item today or tomorrow." And, I received a positive feedback as well. The seller had nothing for sale at this time either. I saved this e-mail and thought to myself at least I have the status of it now. Another business week (5 day) pass's and nothing. I e-mailed the seller again and get this, "We just got around to mailing your package yesterday due to insufficient postage." I'm thinking WTF it's $3.85 for Priority mail. I check this fellows feedback again for any problem signs and he now has a couple of "Positives with Negative comments" left. I e-mail back my concerns and receive nothing, nada, zilch. The following Tuesday (4 days later) I received the package and the coins were as advertised.

I posted this episode to the eBay Sellers forum and ZOWIE was I lambasted for not being an understanding buyer and to be glad I didn't get a negative feedback for constantly harassing (LOL) this busy seller?

Later that week I received an e-mail from the seller asking for his positive feedback. Here's what I posted, "Very satisfied with the items, Shipping in record slow time e-mail for specs

You should have given him a neg. Now, as soon as your feedback comment goes to the bottom of the page, people will think it's safe to deal with him because he has so many pos feedbacks--most people don't read two - three pages worth of feedback, they just see how many pos vs. neg the guy has. You did him a favor, which is unfortunate given the way you were treated =(

You should have told him you were deciding between no feedback or negative feedback, but since he wants feedback....
