  • Awesome. Some times I think that minor league games are more enjoyable than the pro games. You have a better chance to interact with the players.
  • I'M TELLIN YA, I FEEL THE SAME WAY!!! NO MATTER HOW BIG OF A PROSPECT THEY ARE, IF YOU CALL THEM BY NAME AND SHOW YOUR RESPECT/APPRECIATION THEY'LL SIGN!!!image

  • I'm going to the Tennessee Smokies vs. Carolina Mudcats game. Hopefully getting autos from Rick Ankiel, Bucky Jacobsen, Miguel Cabrera, and a few others. Bucky's cool though. Remember him from a few years ago when he was in the Brewers organization. I use to chat with him from time to time since he was on the DL. Would be sweet if Ankiel could sign my Memphis Redbirds jersey.
  • it'd be cool to see ankiel do well again

  • I attend Salt Lake Stingers games on a regular basis and just got Chone Figgins to autograph a Stingers shirt. He was the only one that stayed after the game and signed. He signed for about 1 hour. I also have a game used autographed bat from Alfredo Amezaga.
Collecting Kirilenko Auto's, 1/1's, all base, and one of every rookie card.
  • SWEEET!!! AMEZAGA HAS BEEN HOT OF LATE, NICE ITEM!!!

  • seriously, minor league is incredible. not only do they play 110% (they want to make it to the big leagues of course), but they also sign. major leaguers think they are GOD and never sign. even if you don't know a minor league player's name and still ask for their autograph, they will be happy to give you one. i remember one time when i went to a richmond braves game and this 20 year old guy kept on asking guys who came out of the stadium 1/2 an hour after the game if they were baseball players or not. if so, he'd ask for their autos. i got like 22 or 23 autos that day.

the only problem is that none of the players will sign in the sweet spot, even if the ball is a single sig. don't know why, but as long as they sign, not a problem at all.

by the way, yankees are #1.....as long as derek jeter plays for that team image

My best Minor League auto success was Curt Schilling. I got him and Pete Harnish at a Oklahoma City 89ers (now the Redhawks) in 1989. The funny thing about it is that both Harnish and Schilling remembered me from earlier that day when they signed for me at a card show, along with Palmeiro. My right hand was in a cast all the way up to my elbow. When Schilling asked how I broke my hand, I told him from hitting a kid in the back of the head, he thought it was pretty funny and told Harish. They got a few good laughs out of it and signed my '89 Donurss cards.
