It's in a holder, so I guess it's genuine at least. But, I would have said counterfeit just by the pics. The banner (In God We Trust) is incomplete and the T in Trust is missing. Just my wag. I remember one like this that was deemed fake years ago.

Do you think they used the T to make the Cs?

It should be AU-53 or 55 on a good day, but I imagine it’s higher. I have an AU which is graded Mint State. It comes with the territory.

I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

hmmm... looks kind of baggy and I'm not sure what's going on with the second "T" in TRUST... grease filled die?

I'll go out on a limb... no one has said mint state yet... how about MS60?

Thank you for your comments. I also thought the missing second “T” in trust on the reverse was odd and possibility a grease filled die or a different coin in the holder.

After checking the serial number on NGC and comparing the ngc picture to the coin in hand I was comfortable that the coin was at least real.

Also, I too thought this was coin was over graded at AU58 (I thought AU53 or AU55).
